I wonder if GNR would have been invited to play at the presidential inauguration if it wasn't for covid? They were pretty vocal against Trump and they are from the state the VP represents.
That would have been awesome! Those fireworks were amazing
So what's a culture to do when faced with such a troublemaker? When someone is too popular, too powerful, too talented, too demanding, too avant garde, too loud, too in your face and too larger than life? What are we to do with such an irritant, especially when he’s right? Silence him.Vilify him.Ridicule him.Make him irrelevant.Mock him.Humiliate him. Nullify him.Crucify him.Lock him up. Hamstring him.But above all—dehumanize him.
I was watching the decline of western civilization II again after many years & after seeing it I saw someone who looked like one of my favorite guitarists during the ending, the great song from Megadeth,In My Darkest Hour, is closing the movie and at 1:28:59, there looks like someone who is either Slash or his twin minus the tattoo. This was filmed way before Appetite hit and I can't believe he would be up front, but this was pre Appetite and he did almost join Megadeth and has always been a fan. Just curious if anyone else agrees that this might be Slash at a show enjoying himself for one of the last times before he hit it big!...and forever changed his life.
Not GNR but if you were into GNR in the 80's who doesn't remember this girl?
Julie E. “Tawny” Kitaen, who famously appeared in several music videos for the rock group Whitesnake in the ‘80s, has died. The Orange County, Calif. coroner’s office, which listed her as Tawny Finley, stated that she died at her home in Newport Beach on Friday morning, but a cause of death has not been revealed. She was 59.
